500 hospitalized children and teenagers accompanied with their families enjoy a magical day at Disneyland Paris, as part of French campaign Pièces Jaunes

On May 18, the French “Fondation des Hopitaux” invited 500 hospitalized children and teenagers accompanied by their families for an unforgettable day at Disneyland Paris, as part of their 2022 Pièces Jaunes campaign. The guests were joined by Brigitte Macron, French First Lady and President of the Fondation des Hopitaux, as well as Didier Deschamps, coach of national French soccer team and sponsor of the charity, alongside other French public figures.

As a long-standing partner of the Pieces Jaunes campaign, Disneyland Paris reaffirms its commitment to this major charity operation organized by the Fondation de Hopitaux by welcoming hospitalized kids and teenagers and their families for the 29th year. Throughout the day, the special guests were able to enjoy the Parks’ attractions, attend shows and discover the 30th anniversary festivities alongside other French celebrities who were by their sides to enjoy this day of magic.

“The Fondation des Hopitaux has been supporting hospitalized children, teenagers and their families for years to ease their daily lives during this difficult period”, said Anne Barrère – Vice President of the Fondation des Hôpitaux, “We are happy and touched by the generosity of Natacha Rafalski and her teams who are offering to more than 500 of them a magical moment at Disneyland Paris – an enchanted break, an enlightened moment, the time of day to forget the shadows of the disease. Thank you.”

“We are particularly proud to welcome guests of Fondation des Hopitaux once again as part of the Pièces Jaunes campaign, which we have been supporting almost since more than 29 years,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. “It’s a great pleasure to offer a day of escape and magic to these young people and their families, to enjoy our 30th anniversary festivities.”

The Disney VoluntEARS, the Cast members who bring magic to those who need it most

Disneyland Paris works with many hospitals and associations to share the Disney magic. When children can’t travel to the resort, the VoluntEARS bring the magic to them by visiting hospitals in France and neighboring countries to organize workshops and meetings with Disney Characters. Since 1991, more than 40,000 hospitalized children have received visits by Disney VoluntEARS from Disneyland Paris, who volunteer an average of 8,000 hours every year.
