Divided into five lands with different themes, all infused with fantasy, imagination and adventure, Disneyland® Park offers a unique immersive experience to guests thanks to 40 attractions, a dizzying variety of themed shops and restaurants, must-see shows and, of course, meet and greets with famous Disney Characters.
This bustling street recreates a small American town from the beginning of the 20th century and is the starting point of every visit in Disneyland Park.
In Town Square, you’ll find Main Street Station, where you can board the Disneyland Railroad, the railway line that travels around Disneyland Park with stops in Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland. Guests can pass through Main Street, U.S.A. on old-fashioned vehicles that criss-cross the land. They can choose between the Paddy Wagon, the police wagon, the Omnibus, the fire department’s Fire Truck and many other vehicles. They can also walk through this shopping street while browsing restaurant menus or the many shops. Both men and women can stop at Dapper Dan’s Hair Cuts barbershop for a quick haircut.
They can further explore this world by visiting the two covered arcades located just behind the shops and restaurants, on either side of Main Street, U.S.A. Liberty Arcade, to the west, leads to Frontierland and pays tribute to the Statue of Liberty and the relationships between France and the United States. The backdrop of this covered passage commemorates the designs and hard work of France’s most famous sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. Discovery Arcade, east of Main Street, leads to Discoveryland. Various objects and inventions of the 19th century are displayed in honour of the inventors and their genius portrayed in the novels of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. Continuing their journey towards Sleeping Beauty Castle, located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., guests arrive at Central Plaza, the central square of Disneyland Park. From there, they can head towards the entrance of each of the Park’s themed land.
Guests enter Frontierland via Fort Comstock’s rustic wooden doors.
Behind these doors, the Far West made famous in films and cowboy stories is brought to life with Thunder Mesa, a small town of gold prospectors located on the banks of the Far West River.
Big Thunder Mountain is where you can climb aboard the mine’s crazy train to make a wild escape. By the river, from the wharf of Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, passengers can take a seat on board the Molly Brown and enjoy a cruise exploring wild landscapes, geysers and Native American campsites as well as observe daily life in the Far West. On a nearby hill, an isolated and creepy mansion overlooks the city. It’s Phantom Manor, which is known to be haunted by angry spirits… The mansion has just reopened its doors after the most extensive restoration works in its history. It has many surprises in store for guests including a new storyline following a mysterious journey in which ghosts and spirits await them at every turn… As they walk through Frontierland, guests can discover the train station Frontierland Depot.
The entrance to Adventureland is a Middle Eastern bazaar directly inspired by One Thousand and One Nights and the adventures of Aladdin.
Guests will wander through caves and the underground passages of Adventure Isle. They can also explore the galleon on La Plage des Pirates or weave through the jungle on a visit to the Swiss Family Treehouse.
Adventureland has an exotic atmosphere and each trail takes you on an adventure to a different part of it. Depending on the path they take, guests will find themselves on the African Savannah, in the heart of a lush Asian jungle, in a Caribbean village served by pirates at Pirates of the Caribbean with Jack Sparrow or even on an archaeological search at Indiana Jones™ and the Temple of Doom.
Fantasyland is the kingdom of fairy tales, where the legends and stories of our childhood come to life.
Guests enter the gorgeous Sleeping Beauty Castle and immerse themselves in the dreamlike atmosphere of Disney’s classic tales such as Alice in Wonderland and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Kids will be overjoyed flying with Dumbo the Flying Elephant, riding Le Carrousel de Lancelot, twirling in the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups. Later, they can meet children from all around the world while on the enchanted cruise “It’s a Small World” or they can return to Disney classics with the miniature Storybook Land.
One by one, they can experience what it is like to be Snow White, Pinocchio, or Peter Pan embarking on their biggest adventures in Peter Pan’s Flight, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The Royal Castle and the Princess Pavilion invite guests to have an unforgettable meeting with Disney Princesses. Mickey opens the door to accommodate children and adults of any age while preparing for the next show. A new unmissable experience is Meet Mickey Mouse. In the heart of Fantasyland, Alice’s Curious Labyrinth immerses guests in a journey to the strangest realms of Alice’s Wonderland. Like Alice, guests will enjoy losing themselves in a dizzying maze where they can stumble upon the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat or even the terrifying Queen of Hearts.
The architecture, backdrop and layout of Discoveryland are a tribute to various imaginings of the future.
This land shows the influence and captures the optimism of the world’s great visionaries from past and present such as Italy’s Leonardo da Vinci, France’s Jules Verne and America’s George Lucas. While at Discoveryland, guests can explore the underwater world of Captain Nemo in The Mysteries of the Nautilus or take part in an intergalactic trip to the edge of the galaxy with Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.
The adventure doesn’t stop there, because they can also fly their own spacecraft on Orbitron, cross the galaxy in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue or test their reflexes against the evil Emperor Zurg in Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, straight out of Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story. Discoveryland is sure to be one of the most exciting adventures for our youngest guests. After all, they get to drive their own car down the highways of Autopia, presented by Avis.
