Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do at Disney. Stories inspire us to believe in the future, be true to our hearts and make the world a better place. And through this ability to inspire, here at Disneyland® Paris, we make dreams come true.
That unique role drives our commitments to society and to the environment, focused on three core areas of action. Through philanthropy, we bring comfort and hope to those who need it most. Through inclusive programs, we help those trying to find their way.
Disney VoluntEARS are Cast Members who donate their free time to volunteer and bring to life Walt Disney’s most cherished tradition: commitment to society.
Their talents and motivation are put to use alongside actions taken by the associations. In 2022, nearly 1,000 cast members contributed over 8,000 volunteer hours every year.
Disneyland Paris regularly hosts underprivileged families in partnership with French and European non-profit organizations to propose to these families to enjoy moments of escape from daily life, especially during school vacations.
Like every summer, multiple philanthropic actions were carried out at Disneyland Paris and outside the Parks. They are part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to creating moments of escape from everyday life and bringing magic into the lives of those who need it the most, especially during the summer vacation.
For more than 30 years, Disneyland Paris has been committed to delivering joy when it’s needed most by helping grant wishes for children with critical illness and their families.
These experiences not only brighten lives, creating Moments that Matter, but also help wish children and their families build emotional resilience. Since 1992, more than 20,000 wishes have been granted at Disneyland Paris in partnership with more than 40 organizations across Europe.
When children can’t travel to Disneyland Paris, the magic comes to them: festive afternoons, fun workshops led by Disney VoluntEARS and meetings with Disney characters, everything is an opportunity to bring a smile to children and their families during their hospital stay.
Positive experiences help give children the hope and strength they need to overcome their health challenges. That's why we work with hundreds of hospitals across France to bring the magic of Disney to thousands of children.
Since 1991, and with the support of Disney VoluntEARS, the company has made more than 40,000 visits to sick children in 500 hospitals in France and Europe.
Today, The Fondation des Hôpitaux, SNCF Voyageurs represented by TGV-Intercités and Disneyland Paris invited hundreds of hospitalized children and teenagers along with their families.
On Christmas Day, Goofy dressed up as Santa Claus and teamed up with Disney VoluntEars to create magical moments and distribute presents to the children who are hospitalized at Grand Hôpital de l’Est Francilien (based in Jossigny). A true moment of magic and happiness for children, their families and the medical staff!
Through its corporate social responsibility approach, Disneyland Paris has been committed since its opening in 1992 to supporting the actions of non-profit organizations and neighboring local authorities in improving the lives of children and families in need.
