A Summer Dedicated to Philanthropy at Disneyland Paris

Like every summer, multiple philanthropic actions were carried out at Disneyland Paris and outside the Parks. They are part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to creating moments of escape from everyday life and bringing magic into the lives of those who need it the most, especially during the summer vacation.

This summer was especially marked by the launch of a large-scale initiative in July, as part of the opening of Marvel Avengers Campus: by the end of 2022, Disneyland Paris will thank 20,000 everyday Super Heroes by giving them the opportunity to be among the first recruits of the brand-new Campus. These Super Heroes are those who contribute to improving the lives of others, along with families and children who most need a touch of magic in their lives.

Throwback to the key moments of these days, which focused on missions such as sharing, passing on and inspiring

The very first recruits of Marvel Avengers Campus

As of Sunday, July 10th, 1,200 everyday Super Heroes were the first to discover Marvel Avengers Campus before its grand opening to the public. These first recruits included members from the Grand Hôpital de l’Est Francilien staff, children benefiting from the services of Municipal Centers for Social Action of the Val d’Europe area and children receiving support from Les Restos du Coeur charitable organization of the Ile-de-France Region.

Fulfillment of children’s wishes

As part of the Disney Wish Program, Disneyland Paris hosted more than 320 seriously ill children and their families this summer. These everyday Super Heroes were invited to stay in our resort and even met their favorite Marvel heroes! The fulfillment of these wishes makes it possible to connect families together; they lift children’s spirits and give them strength, thereby helping them feel better and move forward with their treatment once their stay with us is over.

A one-day getaway for Copains du Monde [Friends from the World] from the Secours Populaire France charitable organization

Although a lot of people go on vacation in the summer, it’s unfortunately not the case for many children and their families. Therefore, thanks to the Secours Populaire Français – a long-standing partner of Disneyland Paris – and as part of the 30th anniversary of the “Copains du Monde” movement, 550 children from 21 different countries were able to enjoy a magical day in Disney Parks. Disneyland Paris also played a part in the Journée des Oubliés des Vacances [Day for vacation-deprived families] organized by the Secours Populaire in Deauville, as the resort gave 5,000 giant Breton cookies along with 5,000 beach toys to young people.

A Marvel-themed day including basketball activities, in partnership with the Paris Basketball club

The Paris Basketball Club and Disneyland Paris teamed up to make it possible for 24 people from disadvantaged neighborhoods of the City of Paris to spend a Marvel-themed day. Their program included games on the basketball court of the Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in the morning, a visit of the hotel, and an afternoon in the Parks. In their turn, these young people – who did not get the chance to go on vacation this summer – were able to enjoy unique moments in the heart of Marvel Avengers Campus.

100 invitees from la Maison des Femmes [Organization for the protection of Women] in Saint-Denis

50 women benefiting from the services of the Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis and 50 healthcare professionals from this organization were able to spend a relaxing and fun-packed day in our Parks.
