With the evolution of health measures and the new way for our guests to enjoy our destination, the team in charge of the official mobile application has developed the latter in order to make it a personal concierge accessible at the tip of a finger, which stands out as an essential tool for a visit or a stay within our resort. Let’s take a look back at the latest updates to the application.

Discover above three of the new visuals which are the subject of an on-site campaign, from the Visitor Parking to the entrance of our two Disney Parks.

New features : Book a table: allows our visitors to book – whether in advance or at the last minute – a restaurant (table service or all-you-can-eat buffet) within our destination, and even to modify their reservation (s) . Digital menu: allows our visitors to view the menus of the restaurants at our resort. Personalized Recommendations: a new feature that comes in the form of four questions asked to guests to then determine attraction or entertainment recommendations based on their preferences in terms of thrill level or franchise (Star Wars, Marvel, etc. ) found in the park experiences. Profile: allows our guests to create, or access their Disney account, to view their annual tickets or passes, restaurant reservations, attraction preferences, etc.

Disney’s Halloween Festival will return starting 26 September with exclusive “Selfie Spots,” a new way of interacting with some of your favourite Disney friends. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto and others will be dressed in their most wickedly colourful Halloween costumes and ready to share spooky moments with guests throughout the Parks.

In the heart of Fantasyland, the Meet Mickey Mouse theatre will be decorated in the colours of the season to welcome guests to take an unforgettable selfie with Mickey Mouse and friends.

Disney Villains like Maleficent, Ursula and Captain Hook will take over many iconic park locations to create memorable experiences. Starting 1 October, Disney Villains like Jafar and Cruella de Vil will invade the Studio Theatre at Walt Disney Studios Park to strike a pose with guests surrounded by a new Halloween décor.

The bravest Guests can also discover or rediscover Disneyland Paris’ spookiest attractions.

They can shriek in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Walt Disney Studios Park, seated in the service elevator of the infamous Hollywood Tower Hotel, facing 13-story freefalls and many more surprises.

In Disneyland Park, guests will be invited to join spirits and ghouls who enjoy nothing more than feasting and dancing in the dining room of Phantom Manor, nestled in a dark corner of Frontierland.

During the entire season, Disneyland Park will be decorated in its most spooktacular Halloween decor, from Main Street, U.S.A., to Sleeping Beauty Castle and beyond. Jack ’o’ lanterns and ghoulish ghosts will line the streets, and in Frontierland, guests will discover a colourful Mexican-inspired festival complete with lively music and prancing skeletons.

Disney’s Enchanted Christmas from 7 November 2020 to 10 January 2021

Some people say it’s never too early to talk about Christmas. That’s good because the magic of Disney’s Enchanted Christmas will arrive on 7 November 2020 and will continue until 10 January 2021.

Wrapped in the festive colours of Christmas, Disneyland Paris is a truly magical setting for this merriest of seasons. The glittering streets of Main Street U.S.A. and the giant Christmas tree twinkling in Town Square will be back as snowflakes fall on Main Street U.S.A. and fairy lights illuminate the way to Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“Selfies Spots” will be taken over by winter magic as beloved Disney friends* decked in their jolliest Christmas outfits, including Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and even Stitch with his adorable bobble hat will surprise guests.

At Meet Mickey Mouse, guests will discover a magical setting entirely redecorated in seasonal colours where they will be able to take magical selfies with Mickey Mouse dressed in his finest festive attire.

At Videopolis, in Discoveryland, guests will also have the privilege of visiting Santa’s festive workshop and capturing a precious photo. Every day through 25 December, guests can wander into this wintry wonderland filled with the magic of Christmas and capture a selfie with Santa before he sets off in his sleigh for his gift-giving tour of the world.

In Walt Disney Studios Park, the Animagique theatre will open its doors to guests for a magical selfie with Mickey Mouse and other stars from the Mickey and the Magician show. Belle, Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother are among the apprentices who could make an appearance alongside the skillful sorcerer. Many surprises will be available for guests to make memorable moments with friends and family as beloved Disney Characters and Disney Princesses will make surprise appearances that will fill them with Christmas cheer.

For a unique Christmas experience, guests can add an extra touch of magic to their stay by booking a room decorated for the season at select Disney Hotels**. At their request, the room will be decorated with festive ornaments and a twinkling tree with special Disney gifts for the whole family. Christmas magic will also continue in the sparkling streets of Disney Village, where beautifully decorated boutiques and restaurants will stay open after the Parks close and charming wooden chalets will offer delicious sweet and savoury treats throughout Disney’s Enchanted Christmas.

Disneyland Paris is currently offering is guests the possibility to change or cancel their booking with full refund anytime up to 7 days before their arrival date (excluding insurance and transport fees). Further information can be found at www.disneylandparis.com.

Limited attendance with advanced reservation system

In order to maintain physical distancing in line with recommendations from the French government and health authorities, attendance at Disneyland Paris is currently limited each day.

Guests who have booked a Hotel + Ticket package organised by Euro Disney Associés S.A.S. or Euro Disney Vacances S.A.S do not need to register. They will be able to enter the Disney Parks each day of their stay.

Guests who have a dated Ticket, also do not need to register and will be able to enter the Parks on the day indicated on their Ticket.

Guests who booked a Ticket via a third-party operator should check directly with their operator whether or not they need to register. Guests who have a non-dated Ticket, or an Annual Pass, have to register in advance on the new online reservation system [ link] to ensure admission to the Disney Parks on the day of their choice.

Health and Safety Measures

As the well-being of our guests and Cast Members is a top priority, Disneyland Paris’ phased reopening takes a deliberate approach with limited attendance, physical distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting measures aligned with guidance from the French government and health authorities.

The wearing of face coverings for guests ages eleven and older, Cast Members and third-party operators is required.

For the third year in a row, Disneyland Paris will celebrate its heritage and showcase the creativity that goes on behind the scenes as part of Heritage Days. This year, the opportunity will be virtual and accessible to all online. Through exclusive videos, guests will be able to discover the secrets of the costumes worn by famous Audio-Animatronics® figures and the artistic influences of Disneyland Paris through a short guided video tour of Disneyland Park. The tour provides an unprecedented spotlight on the technical know-how inherent to the resort. Additionally, via Disneyland Paris’ Instagram, guests can discover an exhibition dedicated to past and present shows at Disneyland Paris, with many costumes and models presented by one of our Show Directors, to which they will have the unique opportunity to ask questions and have the potentially answered in the handle’s Instagram stories. The videos will be available at the Disneyland Paris at Home website from 19 September.

Imagineering in a Box, a one-of-a-king learning experience

Imagineering in a Box is a series of free, high-quality online interactive lessons in theme park design and engineering, designed to give a behind-the-scenes peek into Imagineering’s development process. The courses are delivered through the Khan Academy, a non-profit organization with more than 18 million learners a month and a mission to change education for the better by providing free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.

This program combines 32 videos of Disney Imagineers, real-world case studies, and lots of interactive activities to give Disneyland Paris guests and their families the opportunity to dream and design their very own theme park experience.

Imagineering in a Box shares with learners of all ages the unique ways that science, technology, engineering, and math can be combined with creativity and design to create larger-than-life entertainment for millions at Disney Parks around the world.

This program is available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

There are services that we all know about like Baby Care Center which enables you to take great care of babies with a few products for purchase, including baby food jars and diapers, and access to microwaves and bottle warmers for meals. Certain services help save time with the little ones, especially as they tend to get tired quickly: Extra Magic Time in the morning allows you to visit the parks with fewer people and get on rides faster. The Super Fastpass and Ultimate Fastpass (when available) to avoid lines when they’re running out of patience. Disneyland Paris to launch sales of the Wishes Come True Blue colour collection until April 29 in support of Make-A-Wish®

In honour of the 40-year relationship between Disney and Make-A-Wish, Disneyland Paris, and other Disney Parks around the world, began selling items from the Wishes Come True Blue colour collection today. For every item sold across Europe, the US & Canada, The Walt Disney Company will donate 25% of the retail price to Make-A-Wish® organisations (up to US $500,000) to help grant wishes for children. This marks The Walt Disney Company’s first colour collection in celebration and in support of its collaboration with a non-profit organization. Items from the collection sold at Disneyland Paris include spirit jerseys, Minnie Mouse headbands, and Loungefly backpacks.

Inspired by Make-A-Wish, this collection is the perfect way to recognize the life-changing power of a wish. Together Disney and Make-A-Wish have granted more than 140,000 wishes around the world. Disneyland Paris unveils new Merchandise to come in 2021

The year 2021 will be highlighted by the launch of several new Merchandise product lines at Disneyland Paris and – setting the pace for the coming months – the must-have pins. Among the new products to come, the Merchandise teams have developed two exclusive products celebrating Space Mountain’s 25th anniversary, the attraction inaugurated in 1995 in its first version “From the Earth to the Moon.” Soon to come, a Collector’s Key as a tribute to this iconic attraction. Also, a book retracing Its history, technological challenges, sources of inspiration, how it came to be, and its different iterations including Hyperspace Mountain, Mission 2, and of course, “From the Earth to the Moon.” This book follows the first two successful volumes devoted to Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor. For the opening of Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a brand-new range of hotel-exclusive products was developed. Mugs, lanyards, pins, and even a Collector’s Key will honor the architecture and atmosphere of the very first Disney hotel dedicated to the art of Marvel. Over 60 Disney Characters at Selfie Spots and surprise appearances

The first Guests arriving today are once again able to enjoy Disneyland Paris, which is more beautiful than ever* and thanks to many Selfie Spots, guests can enjoy a special moment with their favourite Characters from the Disney, Pixar, Star WarsTM and MARVEL universes. Some of the new character experiences include Star WarsTM Legends such as Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, or Stormtroopers now at Videopolis Theatre for a galactic experience.

Characters straight out of Alice in Wonderland are surprising guests in the Cheshire Cat Train on Main Street, U.S.A. And a float welcoming famous Disney Princesses also makes surprise appearances at Disneyland Park. 

At Walt Disney Studios Park, Cruella makes surprise appearances, as do Emile and Remy from Ratatouille. Additionally, the beloved characters from Frozen are back at Animation Celebration and the MARVEL Super Heroes are ready to take selfies with Guests on stage at Studio Theatre.

Iconic attractions and a new experiences: Cars ROAD TRIP

Once again, Guests can enjoy iconic attractions in both Disney Parks, be it the thrill of Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or an adventure on a family attraction such as Peter Pan’s Flight or Ratatouille: The Adventure.

With the continued transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park, new experiences, like the Cars ROAD TRIP attraction, are coming online making it the place where Pixar adventures come to life. Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel: opening on 21 June 2021

 Just a short walk – or free shuttle – away from the Parks, Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will pay tribute to the home of so many Marvel Super Heroes and the artists who created them. Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will offer premium comfort and personalized services, while celebrating New York City’s culture and vibrant energy, styled as a New York art gallery.

With more than 350 pieces of artwork on display spanning both comics and movies created by more than 110 artists from Europe and beyond – including about 50 exclusive pieces – it will be one of the largest publicly viewable collections of Marvel artwork in the world.

The Guest experience will be taken to the next level with a holistic, 360-degree approach to storytelling and exclusive experiences including Selfie Spot with Spider-Man at the Super Hero Station, a creative space for little ones called Marvel Design Studio, or the Hero Training Zone, an outdoor field with dedicated areas for a variety of sports activities to be enjoyed by guests of all ages.

Disney Junior Dream Factory: Opening 1 July 2021

Disney Junior Dream Factory, a new live entertainment show, is the first show that Disneyland Paris will offer after its reopening. Ideal for families with young children, the show will take place in the brand new “Studio D” at Walt Disney Studios Park and will officially open on 1 July. This immersive 20-minute show will feature some of Disney Junior’s most popular Characters such as Mickey, Minnie and Timon and rising stars Vampirina and Fancy Nancy Clancy. They invite both young and older Guests to make dreams come true together by learning and singing fun and catchy songs.

Disneyland Paris Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

As the health and well-being of our Guests and Cast Members has always been and will continue to be our top priority, Disneyland Paris’ reopening takes a deliberate approach with enhanced health and safety measures that were successfully implemented last year. Our measures continue to reflect current government guidelines, demonstrating our ability to improve the Guest experience while prioritizing a safety. As authorities recommend the wearing of an appropriate face covering in public spaces, Disneyland Paris asks all guests ages six and older to do so.

Partnering with PURELL® brand, throughout the destination, Disneyland Paris has installed nearly 2,000 dispensers of hand sanitising gel made in France.

In order to support physical distancing, limited attendance and required advanced ticketing and reservations are in place, per government guidance. As a result, some experiences, shows or events may not be available or may be modified, depending on evolving guidance from authorities.

Practical Information

Disneyland Paris welcomes Guests back to the magic with a limited number of tickets available each day using an online reservation system. To ensure admission, Guests must register through the system and obtain a reservation for park entry along with their park ticket, prior to their arrival. Guests who already have a dated ticket do not need to register and reserve a date. Likewise, Guests with packages that include park admittance will receive admission for the duration of their stay and do not need to use the system. Dated tickets also offer flexibility as they can be cancelled up to three days prior to visit date.

Meet Naveed Dezfoli, Associate Music Producer

At Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, art is everywhere, including the background music. For the most unique hotel in the world, a totally new playlist has been conjured up- from the themes of the Marvel movies revisited- Chillhop style, at the crossroads of hip hop and jazz.

Until now, you could only listen to it on site… now it’s also available in digital form, accessible on the major music platforms. A perfect opportunity to discover Marvel music like you’ve never heard it before!

From concept to production, Naveed has accompanied every step of this unique artistic project. He tells us more about this one-of-a-kind adventure.

Can you tell us a little more about your work on this project?

I was in charge of producing music for the hotel, intervening at each step of the creative process. This includes determining the creative needs for the project and guiding our team of producers and composers from start to finish.

What is the musical concept for Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel?

The hotel’s music is a tribute to the culture and style of New York. The stage is thus a contemporary art gallery but dedicated to Marvel. For this, we produced over 75 minutes of original music for the hotel’s lobby and corridors. In essence, the Marvel themes are revisited in an urban, up-to-date style. This is the first time we’ve taken the iconic music from our Marvel movies and presented it in a whole new light.

It’s a true re-creation!

This is the first hotel dedicated to Marvel, so it was important for us to produce music that was true to the Marvel films and characters. That being said, we couldn’t use the original soundtracks because they were designed specifically for the films. We knew we had to adapt them to our experience. The Chillhop style is closely connected to New York’s culture. It’s a fresh approach to hip hop and jazz, with catchy patterns and even a little humor at times. That’s why it felt perfect for our musical arrangements.

How did you find the right tone for Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, which is both a hotel and an art gallery?

From the beginning of the process, we were fortunate enough to be able to see early concepts for the hotel and a few of the beautiful pieces that were going to be on display…valuable clues as to what needed to be done for the hotel’s musical atmosphere.

From Birocratic to Cloudchord through Pandrezz, Plusma, Stan Forebee and Tennyson, very different musical universes come together in this album. How did you envision this diversity?

The hotel features the work of over a hundred artists and I found that particularly fascinating. A very strong source of inspiration came from the Comic books, with their bold colors and graphic style. I knew that music, as an art form and medium, could play a similar role and push the hotel’s already rich story even further. Like the Marvel characters, represented in very different visual styles, the musical theming needed to be treated in a similarly varied manner.

How did you select the artists who would be part of the project?

We partnered with renowned Chillhop artists and producers who could bring their own singular sound and unique style and identity to the project, all the while adhering to the musical themes we all know and love. Music is a universal language, and as an art form, it has the power to bring people from all over the world together. For example, Cloudchord is based in Austin, Texas, and Stan Forebee in Melbourne, Australia. Despite the distance, they collaborated on a particularly appealing reinterpretation of Michael Giacchino’s theme for Spider-Man: Far from Home. Birocractic, a New York-based music producer, brought a stylish hip-hop twist to Brian Tyler’s Iron Man theme. So yes, absolutely, the fact that our artists live in different countries and come from different cultures has clearly contributed to the richness and diversity of our story.

How did you work with them?

Our team of composers and artists were very enthusiastic about this project, especially since they were already familiar with the Marvel repertoire. From the start, their approach was experimental. Since these themes were to be performed in a totally new way, we were exploring totally unknown territory yet, at the same time, we wanted the music to sound like “Marvel”. Take Tennyson’s arrangement of the Avengers theme: it plays on the power of that well-known motif while staying true to the very experimental sound that is the Canadian duo’s signature.

How did you choose the themes to adapt?

As with all of our projects, we started by doing extensive research, exploring the great Marvel themes like Alan Silvestri’s Avengers or Ludwig Göransson’s Wakanda. We wanted to involve our artists as early as possible so that they could participate in the choice of themes that they would be asked to rearrange. It was their vision that interested us.  Thus, it was important that they be really passionate about the material they were going to work on. We used a lot of famous themes, like that of Christophe Beck’s for Ant Man or Tyler Bates’ for Guardians of the Galaxy. We even played on the different Spider-Man themes, the classic version from the TV series and the contemporary version by Michael Giacchino for Far from Home.

What emotions did you want to convey through the music?

Much like an attraction, we wanted to immerse our Guests in the world of Marvel…doing so with the themes from the films was a creative imperative. That being said, we didn’t want the themes to be too visible. A hotel experience is still different from an attraction, and the music should be more in the background. We wanted it to add to the experience, not to be the focus of attention. That’s what Plusma’s version of the Avengers is all about. It’s done in a very subtle way, in contrast to the film’s heroic slant. It’s a totally new way of understanding Marvel music!
