Disneyland Paris distributes school supplies to underprivileged children

Throughout the summer, Disneyland Paris welcomed 5,000 children as part of the “Vacances” campaign organised by Secours populaire – moments of happiness and escape essential to the well-being of children who are not lucky enough to go on vacation.

This wonderful initiative came to a close on Friday 1 September with the last group of 500 children and their families from across France enjoying the park. With the start of the new school year just a few days away, they were able to leave with backpacks filled with school supplies donated by Disneyland Paris Cast Members and prepared by Disney VoluntEars. Over 6000 school supplies were collected from Cast Members.

In total, these magical days mobilised more than 250 Disney VoluntEars for more than 2000 hours of volunteering.

This initiative is part of Disney Future Storytellers, Disney’s commitment to empowering the next generation of storytellers and innovators.
