Mickey also appears at Discoveryland Theatre, inviting audiences to a musical and visual journey through the Disney classics – in 4D! Donald Duck will conduct a lively concert. Mickey’s Philharmagic will wow guests at Disneyland Paris from October 2018.

New details of the history of Ravenswood Manor have been uncovered and are to be depicted through new special effects and scenery. It is scheduled to re-open in October. In addition to these key attractions, further renovation work will continue through the years, including Sleeping Beauty Castle and Mark Twain’s steamboat.

Celebrating 90 years of fun with Mickey at Disneyland Paris

90 DAYS 100% MICKEY #Mickey90

He made his very first appearance on 18 November 1928, and the irrepressible Mickey Mouse is all set to celebrate an incredible birthday. To mark this great occasion, Disneyland Paris has a whole programme of special events and entertainment called the “Mickey 90 Mouse Party”.

90 days to celebrate Mickey with the magic of Disney Parks

Timeless, transgenerational, iconic – Mickey is the one that started all. He’s always been the one that guests of all ages come to see at Disneyland Paris – “going to Mickey’s place”, as they put it so well, therefore it was only natural that the most famous mouse in animation history would celebrate at “his place” with a special programme that will put the light on him like never before.

1 October 2018 will kick off 90 days of celebrations. This year, Halloween and Christmas seasons will celebrate Mickey with a very festive agenda. Mickey will be appearing with a brand new float for the Halloween cavalcade from 1 October to 4 November 2018. “Mickey’s Illusion Manor” will celebrate 90 years of fun, and reveal his mischievous side! Apparitions and disappearances await… Let yourself be carried away into the mysterious world of illusions, as he performs his Halloween prankster tricks from the steps of his manor house!

When our Disney Parks put on their winter gear from 10 November 2018 to 6 January 2019, Mickey will surprise you with a fun-filled show and you will get to see him playing the drums. “Mickey’s Christmas Big Band” includes everybody’s favourite Christmas songs in a live show featuring singers, musicians and Disney Characters. But that’s not all: you’ll also discover a special surprise for Mickey on the stage at Production Courtyard at Walt Disney Studios Park.

We also announce the opening of a unique attraction in Europe: “Mickey and his PhilharMagique Orchestra”. This new 3D experience opens at the Discoveryland Theatre on 1 October 2018. Mickey and Donald take you on a big adventure through Disney classics like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King. The music will blow you away!

As for the decorations – amazing sweet surprises will be popping up in the enchanted kingdom: huge birthday cakes bursting with colours will adorn the five lands of the Disneyland Park. And there will be an even more special date with unique surprises on the actual day of Mickey’s Birthday, on November 18 2018! So, are you ready to party with Mickey at Disneyland Paris?

Playful and didactic at the same time, the app will be available for two days only, September 15th and 16th, on Android and iOS.

Since its opening, Disneyland Paris has been firmly rooted in European and French culture. References are numerous around the resort, from the fairy tales that inspired Disney classic films, the architectural style that pays homage to French sites, or gastronomy that is artfully represented in over 60 restaurants. Disneyland Paris boasts a strong multi-cultural identity, through attractions like Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, structures like Sleeping Beauty Castle, and events such as the Rendez-Vous Gourmand food fair. The resort also cherishes artisanal trades that are still being practiced around the Parks. Through this cultural identity and strong sense of tradition, Disneyland Paris has always valued the way of life, savoir-faire, heritage, and culture of France.

Disneyland Paris is home to over 500 job roles, including some unexpected ones such as coppersmiths, gilders, cabinet makers, and stained-glass makers. Across different domains, artisans at Disneyland Paris help to give guests an extraordinary and authentic experience while doing their part to preserve French culture.

The resort, which has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, and which generates 6% of France’s tourism income, has become an integral part of the French landscape for the millions of guests that visit each year.

little duck

Our resort is a place where all the magic of Disney – its wonderful tales and incredible stories- is brought to life. To tell this story like no other and launch the new brand’s signature “Where Magic Gets Real”, Disneyland Paris produced a campaign, which premiered throughout Europe on December 25th.

This campaign follows the epic and touching adventure of a wild duckling who finds a Disney magazine by chance and is seized by a passion for Donald Duck. Days and seasons go by, our little duck lives Donald Duck, breathes Donald Duck, sleeps Donald Duck making his magazine his most valuable belonging. But winter arrives forcing the whole family of the little duck to migrate and the magazine is unfortunately too heavy to be part of the journey…

This epic story is a mix of love, humor and bravery and speaks to all those – children and adults alike – who have grown up with a Disney idol, dreaming to meet them one day.

The ending of the campaign reserves a little surprise when our dear Donald Duck appears in down and bones: Disneyland Paris intends to remind everyone of its unique and essential role to be the gate between the imagination of the Disney movies and the real world.

At Disneyland Paris, magic is for real.

Disneyland Paris reveals new exciting details on Disney’s Hotel New York ® – The Art of Marvel

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On January 6, 2019, Disneyland Paris unveiled the logo of the new
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, during an epic celebration of the resort as it is heading to an ambitious renovation. Opening summer 2020, it will infuse the dynamic, inspiring art world of Super Heroes including Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider-Man among others, to the elegant and vibrant Big Apple atmosphere.

A stay in one of the Disney Hotels at Disneyland Paris is a chance to take the magic of the parks with us into our dreams. Places full of adventure, joy and wonder – each one is a world in itself, offering unique experiences and encounters. Since 1992, the Disney’s Hotel New York welcomed millions of guests and immersed them into New York culture, the design of architect Michael Graves and the atmosphere of the Big Apple.

As it’s preparing for the most spectacular transformation in its history – it will reopen in summer 2020 as Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel – Disneyland Paris celebrated the Cast Members and heritage of the resort and unveiled new exciting details on the upcoming new chapter of the hotel’s history.

“It is a new chapter, marked by unforgettable memories, both for our guests who stayed there and for all our Cast Members who worked there.” said Martina Sardelli, Vice President Operations Hotels & Disney Village, “Disneyland Paris always keeps moving forward, to be at the forefront and exceed expectations. It is precisely this taste for innovation and this avant-garde spirit that we celebrate today.”

An epic transformation

The hotel relooking will create an environment evoking a luxury and contemporary Manhattan establishment. Its interior design will be sleek and cosmopolitan in the style of Tony Stark and the Avengers Headquarters and will showcase the “Art of Marvel” in a way that reinvents the idea of an “art hotel”. Limited editions will adorn the walls of rooms and suites. Bold pieces on display in public areas will showcase the diverse wealth of art from the Marvel universe: comic art, film, design, sculpture, costume… all displayed in the style of a contemporary New York art gallery. Pieces will include comic book covers, posters, concept art from films, storyboards, production design, props, original sketches, media, and more!

The hotel will offer 470 standard rooms, 65 executive rooms and 26 standard suites. The room interiors reflect the sophisticated urban style of Tony Stark’s tastes, with a color palette reminiscent of his Iron Man suit and art featuring Marvel Super Heroes.

One-of-a-kind suites are each meticulously fashioned around Marvel Super Heroes and New York City themes. For these unique suites, a Marvel artist will be commissioned to create stunning pieces featuring the Super Heroes.

New York and Marvel come together in an environment that is both sophisticated and fun, showcasing the Art of Marvel in a new and exciting way. Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will open in summer 2020.

A Growing Marvel Presence at Disneyland Paris

In February 2018, The Walt Disney Company announced plans for a 2 billion euro, multi-year expansion for Disneyland Paris. The new development will include a transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Park, adding three new areas that are based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars. This new Marvel area will allow guests to encounter the heroes in new and exciting ways, from the mystic arts of Doctor Strange to the gravity defying feats of Spider-Man. Guests will also experience the latest in Pym Technology with Ant-Man and Wasp and be wowed as Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Captain America and more leap into action.

Guests won’t have to wait for the new area, though, to experience more Marvel at Disneyland Paris. After the first Marvel Season of Super Heroes last summer, Captain America, Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Widow return for a second edition in 2019, filled with epic adventures, joined by new heroes such as Captain Marvel and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
