At Disneyland Paris, International Women’s Day – and every day – is an opportunity to spotlight the diverse voices, backgrounds and talents of Cast Members who bring the magic to life across the resort. It’s a moment for all of us to listen, learn and grow. This year, we heard from so many extraordinary women at all levels of the company – and others who stopped by for a visit along the way! Let’s take a closer look at some of the experiences and advice shared this year.
1. Find A Place Where You Can Grow
We asked 13 women – including our very own Présidente Natacha Rafalski – what their roles at Disneyland Paris mean to them. More than anything, we found that they valued opportunities for growth and supportive teams along the way. This is key for the unique Cast Member culture at Disneyland Paris and something we’re always working to expand on.

2. Get Outside of Your Comfort Zone
This year, Women Behind the Magic took us behind-the-scenes to meet Walt Disney Imagineering architect Cécile Pinel, who described moments in her career when she learned new skills, reached outside her comfort zone and ultimately took on exciting new projects like Avengers Campus coming this summer to Disneyland Paris.

3. Never Stop Learning
The fifth annual International Women’s Day conference for Cast Members brought in guest speakers from fashion, science and popular culture to talk about female representation and empowerment, plus workshops for personal and professional growth. This exclusive event is just one example of Disneyland Paris’ commitment to professional equality. It was also an opportunity to invite local young women from the Voluntary Military Service program for an educational day and conversation with our president as part of our ongoing community engagements, in addition to welcoming 300 women and children for a day in the parks this weekend from associations helping women.
4. Be Part of Something Bigger
Several years ago, Disneyland Paris launched what is now known as Women@Disneyland Paris, a network of Cast Members which supports women in their professional and personal development, raises awareness of gender equality issues and implement concrete actions, while promoting an inclusive and diverse work environment. Today, it is just one example of many dedicated groups that bring Cast Members together for real, positive change.
5. Express Yourself and Have Fun
This month, true fashionista Minnie Mouse is meeting guests in Studio Theater at Walt Disney Studios Park in her first ever pantsuit at Disneyland Paris, courtesy of British designer Stella McCartney. While fashion is just one form of personal expression, it’s certainly a fun one! Minnie’s new look will appear in a colorful and pop atmosphere, reflecting her image as a fashion icon through the years.
“What I love about Minnie is the fact that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity and that she inspires people of all ages around the world. Plus, she has such great style!” said Stella McCartney.
