Throughout the month of April, National Geographic and Disney are spotlighting efforts both internally and externally to Protect, Restore and Celebrate ourHOME.
For over a century, Disney has created stories that celebrate the wonders of the world we all share. And for more than 136 years, National Geographic has been synonymous with inspiring a deeper connection to our world. This year, these two powerful legacies are coming together to celebrate this beautiful planet we call home and the power within each of us to create change for the better.
Earth Month is the perfect opportunity to highlight actions taken by Disneyland Paris to protect the environment and raise awareness among guests and cast members about the importance of building a sustainable future together. Here are more details about some of these initiatives, which notably includes the ourHOME Castle show, highlighting scenes and images inspired by National Geographic explorers.
From April 5 to April 30, Sleeping Beauty Castle serves as a backdrop for “A Wonderful World,” an awe-inspiring nighttime sequence created in collaboration with National Geographic that takes guests on a wonderful journey around the world. Through projections of breathtaking images featured in National Geographic documentaries, guests have the chance to discover some of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth along with a wide variety of animals in their natural habitats. This spectacular homage to nature reminds us of the importance of protecting the ecosystems that surround us.
Frequency: Every day before nighttime spectaculars.
Several workshops and conferences will also be held throughout the month to inspire, engage, and educate cast members.
Disney has always found inspiration in the wonders of the natural world and is committed to taking meaningful and measurable action to support a healthier planet for people and wildlife.
