Garance Plissonnier has been an industrial engineer for six years. After graduating from the Ecole d’Ingénieurs en Génie Industriel in Montreal, she joined the Disneyland Paris team. Now a manager of her own team, Garance’s role is to help shape future guest experiences and behind-the-scenes services for Cast Members.
What she loves about her job is the variety of projects she gets to work on. Even in a job with plenty of data analysis and reflection, Garance’s work at Disneyland Paris is a unique experience that encourages creativity. During her internships and studies, she always learned about solutions adapted to the industrial sector. Now, she’s focusing those skills on a theme park environment, offering a whole new playground and unique projects. “The ultimate goal is to achieve the best possible guest satisfaction and offer them an unforgettable experience. It’s very rewarding.”
For Garance, it’s also very important that her company takes action to support women throughout the year. Promoted to a manager role while pregnant, she was happy to discover upon her return efforts in place for Cast Members, in particular the breastfeeding rooms to meet a need even after returning to work. “It allowed me to come back with peace of mind. I saw that this pregnancy was viewed positively, and it wasn’t an obstacle to my promotion.“
