Disneyland Paris is the perfect playground for the whole family, including little ones. In this happy place, all their dreams can come true, and numerous attractions and activities are dedicated to them! Do you want to visit Disneyland Paris with a child but you’re still debating? We asked several Disneyland Paris fans for tips, as they are true experts when it comes to visiting our resort!
We have regularly taken our son to Disneyland Paris since he was 3 years old. And we have never regretted it and would always go so early. I will never forget his bright eyes on his first visit or his second visit when he walked through the Star Wars shop with gasping breath and others thought he needed a doctor. These are moments you never forget.
My little sister visited Disneyland Paris for the first time when she was less than 1 year old, we went to a meal with characters and she had a lot of fun. She looked at Pluto or Tigger as giant plushes and she loved that moment! Also, you’ll be happy to see your kids having fun. Everyone is happy at Disneyland París!
Mi Mundo Disney
We usually head back to the hotel for a break around noon, whether it be for a short nap, to relax at the pool or grab a snack at the bar. We go back to the parks later in the afternoon after a nice break and with our energy level back up again.
Virginie, Go Disneyland Paris Conseils et Astuces
Make sure your kids wear bracelets with their name and your phone number. They could get lost during your visit, so make sure other guests or cast members can easily connect with you.
When you wait in line, it’s nice to have fun and easy games to play with your kids! Try to keep them busy with a trivia game, show them the details of what’s around them, make them look for Hidden Mickeys when possible as well!
Fanny, Disneyland Times
Good news is that you can rent strollers in the parks. If you have an Infinity annual pass it’s even free. This is also convenient for people who can’t or don’t want to bring a stroller in their small or fully packed car, on the plane or train.
When going to a restaurant, we bring things to keep our daughter busy while waiting, like coloring games. It is to be noted that kids’ meals are good value for money (even more so with an Annual Pass).
Disneyland Fans Paris
There are services that we all know about like Baby Care Center which enables you to take great care of babies with a few products for purchase, including baby food jars and diapers, and access to microwaves and bottle warmers for meals. Certain services help save time with the little ones, especially as they tend to get tired quickly: Extra Magic Time in the morning allows you to visit the parks with fewer people and get on rides faster. The Super Fastpass and Ultimate Fastpass (when available) to avoid lines when they’re running out of patience. Finally, the Rider Switch allows parents to take turns on thrill rides that are not suitable for younger children without having to line up again. The Shopping Service enables you not to have to overload your stroller and to collect your purchases at the end of the day, so that you can continue your experience without having to carry them with you all day.
Manon, Wish 2 Dream
Baby cribs, high chairs, bottle warmers, kids’ menus, babysitting services in select hotels, and child rates…everything you can possibly need for a nice family visit in hotels and restaurants, even with little ones.
Disneyland Paris Bons Plans
Don’t force the kids to pose for pictures if they don’t want to. Try to take natural photos of them having fun instead.

Arnaud Philippe joined Disneyland Paris in 1992 for the grand opening of the Manhattan Restaurant. Almost 30 years later, returning to the hotel where he worked as a Cook, he is now the Chef of the Downtown Restaurant, offering our Guests a cosmopolitan menu.
WHAT WAS THE APPROACH TO CREATING THE DOWNTOWN RESTAURANT MENU?
The first step was to think about New York’s culinary influences. New York is a vibrant city with a long history of immigration, resulting in a cosmopolitan cuisine with strong Asian and Mediterranean influences. We wanted to offer a menu that would be representative of this diverse culture.
WHAT WERE THE CHALLENGES IN CREATING SUCH A VARIED MENU?
Creating a menu requires a studying and testing phase. We had to adapt to health and safety measures, prolonging our timing, and we also had to adapt to material constraints. When we prepare a menu, we have to imagine what ingredients and equipment we will need. During this period, many of our suppliers were also closed, which didn’t make it easy to get what we needed! The other challenge was to imagine a buffet menu and then adapt it to table service. This was not an easy task and we had to temporarily reduce the number of items proposed on the menu.
HOW DID YOU ADD THE MARVEL TOUCH TO YOUR DISHES?
It was mainly through the desserts that we were able to mark our creativity, all the while remaining consistent with the menu and the Asian, Mediterranean and American influences. We have a Baby Groot Chocolate Mousse, a Captain America Panna Cotta, and soon, Thor’s Hammer Chocolate Cake. These are Marvel touches that dazzle our Guests.
Thomas, can you tell us about Minnie’s Delights pastry shop and tell us what you do here on a daily basis?
Minnie’s Delights is Disneyland Paris’ main pastry shop. We work primarily for the restaurants in the Disneyland Park and also the Walt Disney Studios Park.
This is where all the pastries are made?
Yes, most of the pastries for the resort are made here, particularly for the buffet restaurants, so Restaurant Agrabah Café and Plaza Gardens Restaurant, as well as many others. We also work for Bistrot chez Remy where all our pies are completely homemade.
How many people are in your team?
There are a good thirty or so of us, including a kitchen porter, a weekend kitchen porter, a kitchen steward, a storekeeper, and a delivery man because this is the main pastry shop, so we have a delivery system for sending the desserts. There are also the different pastry chefs, assistant, demi, chef de parti and sous chef pastry chefs and Benoit, the chef.
What does a typical day look like at Minnie’s Delights?
If I’m in the morning, I start at 6 a.m. so I open the shop; I’m the first to arrive, I turn everything on. I welcome first Cast Members for the morning shift around 6:10 a.m. So their job is basically to make the finishing touches, for example, to desserts that need to be decorated before being delivered one or two hours later. The rest of the team arrives from 8 a.m./9 a.m. onwards, and that’s when we really get stuck into preparing what has to be made for the day because we make everything the day before it is needed. So what we make today will be for tomorrow.
How many pastries are made on average every day?
Currently, the output is 4 000 to 8 000 pastries per person every day.
What have you prepared at Minnie’s Delights for the Christmas season?
Here we have two marshmallow lollies in the shape of Mickey’s head in chocolate; a vanilla one coated in white chocolate and a strawberry one coated in red-colored white chocolate. We have Christmas tree-shaped gingerbread with a Christmas print on it and a Rodolphe tartlet with caramel praline.
How are these creations invented? Where is the recipe decided?
Produit Intégration Food gives us the dates of the seasons, lets us know the number of desserts needed and tells us which restaurant they want us to work for. We are pretty much free to put forward our own creations. We get the teams very much involved and afterwards we test our recipes, and of course, sometimes some things don’t work. And as soon as we are happy with the result, we present the desserts to our management which then gives approval or not, and lets us know what it wants and what we have to work, etc.
