The other side of the maintenance of Ratatouille : l’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy

Control the safety belts and the tires, repair the motors, check the jacks, the chains or even the welding: this is part of the daily work of the 39 night technicians at Walt Disney Studios Park. That’s the team Olivia Deschamps is part of. She is a maintenance technician and joined Disneyland® Paris in 2007.

The contrast between the wonderful world of Disney and the rigour of maintenance

She may not work in direct contact with the guests, she nevertheless watches over their safety and the quality of their experience. “We build dreams and enchantment through new, state of the art technologies that are reliable and rigorous”. Her one objective is that “Guests can get away from it all”.

To work in the maintenance at night at Disneyland Paris it is essential to show rigour, regularity, organisation and self-control. Only this guarantees that the technical and mechanical controls of the attractions are properly carried out.

Olivia finds great pleasure in working on a new attraction as well. She already had that experience on Crush’s Coaster® or even The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror. But Ratatouille : l’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, is a lot more than that. It is “a lovely neighbourhood that carries you to the poetry of certain neighbourhoods in Paris”.
