Quality of work goes hand-in-hand with attention to others in every detail of everyday life and for the duration. The company’s ambition is to create a work/life community and develop a veritable lifestyle that is specific to Disneyland Paris.
Numerous initiatives have been set up by Disneyland Paris to contribute to the well-being of Cast Members (employees of Disneyland Paris), such as the recently overhauled company dining, local services and sports and community events which punctuate the rhythm of the year behind the scenes.
Disneyland Paris has set up several recognition programmes to recognise the contribution of Cast Members in the experience offered to guests. The seniority of Cast Members is celebrated each year at Service Award evenings, tribute is paid to team efforts in workplace safety and environmental issues and courtesy is honoured at an annual ceremony for those Cast members that receive the most comments of satisfaction from our guests.
This week, the company is celebrating 44 new winners of The Walt Disney Legacy Award. This is the highest distinction within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Inspired by the legacy of Walt Disney, it honours the outstanding performance and commitment of Cast Members, Crew Members and Imagineers from all over the world, who are nominated by their colleagues for their exemplary work and for their ability to Dream, Create and Inspire.
At a gala evening held in their honour, the winners of this prestigious award were able to enjoy La Place de Rémy in the Walt Disney Studios Park and a celebration dinner. Catherine Powell, Présidente of Euro Disney S.A.S., said: “It is thanks to your talent, your constant involvement and your unwavering commitment that magic reigns at Disneyland Paris and especially in this year of the 25th anniversary. By embodying exemplarity and excellence, you carry Walt Disney’s values and philosophy high.”
The winners of The Walt Disney Legacy Award wear a blue name tag; make sure you congratulate them if you bump into them at Disneyland Paris.
