Through the collaboration of several teams, a new booking process implemented for the popular Princess Pavilion in Fantasyland improves the guest experience and the work for operational Cast Members.
The project was born of the needs expressed by the operational teams and visitors following the great success of the pavilion, which offers meet & greets with Disney Princesses in Fantasyland. A manual booking system had been temporarily set up with Cast Members from the Guest Flow Team handing out tickets by hand with a timeslot for the visitors. In order to improve this booking stage, a project was initiated with a beautiful synergy of teams.
Specifications drafted by the Parks and Industrial Product Engineering teams were sent to the IS OnStage team to manage this project and the technical choices. The application was developed internally by the IT Software Engineering team. Coordination of work and location of terminals were provided by the FAM (Facilities Assets Management) team. The terminals were also fully integrated into the Fantasyland design, through the work of Disneyland Paris Creative teams that have provided them with a fully themed lining.
The desire was to simplify and improve the experience of visitors, notably by providing them the opportunity to choose the timeframe of the meet & greet, depending on availability (which was not possible previously). After a scan of the park entrance ticket, the ticket is printed in seconds with the time of appointment in the guest language.
In addition to ease of use, behind this digital interface, the application is based on a calculating algorithm to best optimize the distribution of tickets. For Guest Flow teams, stock management will be easier and will facilitate the interaction with the guests. A team work smoothly conducted, providing everyone with a better experience !
