Secours Populaire has been a partner of Disneyland® Paris since 1993, and it chose Europe’s number one tourist destination to launch its “Vacances d’été 2015” (Summer 2015 Vacations). On 16 May this year 700 children and families from the association were present on the Disneyland Park to trigger off the campaign. Certain celebrities who are equally the sponsors of the association were also present, as well as 64 Disney VoluntEARS.
“The event today has allowed us to offer the children a dream-like day. It will be an unforgettable experience for all of them. They were welcomed and accompanied in a remarkable manner throughout the day. It is wonderful that Disneyland Paris can make the dreams of these children come true!” declared Julien Lauprêtre, the President of the association since 1958.
“We all know the commitment of the Secours populaire français, which for the last 70 years has helped people who go through difficult periods in their lives and mostly offers families the opportunity to leave a few days on vacation. At Disneyland Paris, our vocation is to offer a unique and unforgettable experience to children of all ages. We feel very strongly about having others experience these values of sharing and solidarity which were so dear to Walt himself”, Julien Kauffmann, Vice President Revenue Management & Analyses recalled.
The campaign will continue throughout the summer with the arrival of 7 000 persons invited by the association. A perfect opportunity for Disneyland Paris to wish a very happy 70th anniversary to Secours populaire français!
