Disneyland® Paris encourages internet users to have their photographs taken wearing Disney ears and to share one or more photographs over the social networks. Each publication with a #ShareYourEars hashtag will trigger off a donation to benefit the Make-A-Wish® association.
An historical partnership
Disney and Make-A-Wish have been associated for over 35 years to fulfil the dreams of children and teenagers around the world by welcoming them at the Disney parks. Make-A-Wish, an American charity organisation founded in 1980, aims at infusing hope, courage and joy to children between the ages of 3 and 17 with a serious illness when they face difficult moments. The Make-A-Wish association is now present in 48 countries, among them France.
Ears for wishes
This year Disney and Make-A-Wish launch the #ShareYourEars solidarity campaign. Until 14 March internet users are invited to take their photograph wearing Disney ears and then to share one or more photographs over the social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, among others through the #ShareYourEars hashtag. Those who don’t have any Disney ears may create them themselves with different objects such as plastic plates. What counts is that you be creative!
For each publication over the social networks with the #ShareYourEars hashtag, a $5 donation will be made to the Make-A-Wish association. This original and creative campaign is being carried out as the 100 000th Disney wish is coming true.
The support of Disneyland Paris
Our Cast Members are given the opportunity backstage to take their photograph in a fun way at the special photo locations with original accessories and animated by the Disneyland Paris Ambassadors. This is a perfect opportunity to encourage a maximum number of employees to take part in this operation for Make-A-Wish, boosted by a strong internal communication campaign.
Disneyland Paris is proud to have contributed to hundreds of wishes by supporting the Make-A-Wish® France association since its creation in 2005. Our company reaffirms its commitment this year by organising a day of solidarity on 12 March, where once again creativity will be the golden rule! The Disney VoluntEARS, together with the volunteers from Make-A-Wish will unravel their imagination and creativity while accompanying various children and their families. The volunteers will hold a workshop where children will customise Disney ears and thus bring their support to this wonderful initiative. The day will be splendidly wrapped-up with a photograph of all the participants in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in the Disneyland Park.
“The number one priority of our department, Corporate Citizenship, is to accompany and bring joy to children who most need it. Naturally we are proud to give our support to the #ShareYourEars solidarity campaign to benefit the Make-A-Wish association and the numerous children’s wishes they fulfil throughout the year at our tourist destination”, Annabel Altmann, Senior Manager Corporate Citizenship, confided.
