The association Nos Quartiers ont des Talents (Our districts have talents) held its New Years’ ceremony on 27 January 2015. Disneyland® Paris was awarded the Egalité des chances trophy (Equal opportunities), in recognition for its ten year commitment to the association NQT. A look into the event.
The association “Nos Quartiers ont des Talents” was launched in 2005 to help young graduates from underprivileged neighbourhoods enter the labour market. In 2014, NQT accompanied over 4 500 young graduates. In January 2015 nearly 24 000 young graduates have been supported by this association with its 6 130 sponsors. 71% of these young graduates found a job in seven months.
Disneyland Paris committed to work with the association over the long term through three-year plans. The objective is to find sponsors who will each accompany two “god-children” in looking for a job.
In order to reward this commitment and honour the role model the company has ensured, the NQT Association handed Daniel Dreux, Vice President Human Resources at Disneyland Paris the Equal Opportunities trophy.
«Disneyland Paris stands by young graduates. We believe in the wealth of diversity and we believe in integration while respecting each person’s differences. These are not corporate slogans. It is our conviction, our DNA and our reason for going forward. This trophy embodies the partnership with “Nos Quartiers ont des Talents” which goes back to 2009. We have the same values: help the younger generation on the labour market and in the corporate world. 90% of the young graduates the association entrusted us with have found a job”. Daniel Dreux, Vice President Human Resources, Disneyland Paris.
