When guests (re)visit Pirates of the Caribbean beginning on July 24th, they will discover one the most fully-immersive restaurant experiences at Disneyland Paris, with a brand new concept. The story is taking a larger place at the table, thanks to the new menu which allowed Disneyland Paris chefs to embrace the Caribbean theme more than ever before. The name of the game is quality, with ingredients carefully transformed on-site into flavorful dishes. Signature creole dishes have gotten a modern makeover, and the drinks menu is more varied than ever before, including French wines that pair nicely with the dishes on offer. This exotic and delicious new experience is thanks to Christophe Coutanson, Executive Chef, with the help of Gérald Vaux, Senior Manager of Restaurant Research & Development, and Thierry Clément, Chef de cuisine. “The new menu at Captain Jack’s – Restaurant des Pirates is the result of long months of work researching and developing a collection of specialties that our guests will be sure to appreciate, but that are also in line with the restaurant’s theme and are of the top quality that is expected at a sit-down restaurant. ” Thierry Clément, Chef de cuisine All the work for this project was done at the Disneyland Paris Atelier des Chefs, a truly unique on-site workshop that sets the table culinary experiences across the resort. This is where the menus at our service-table restaurants are redesigned twice a year, the menus are crafted for the New Year’s celebrations as early as the springtime, and where the buffet options are developed to adapt to each season. It is also where cocktail recipes for our bars are created and tweaked. Bartenders from all over our resort have everything they need right here to learn the tricks of the mixology trade.
