Last weekend was a colorful one as the association Arc-en-Ciel and Disneyland® Paris celebrated 25 years of their solidarity partnership. Let’s take a look back at this event full of emotion.
Created in 1991 and officially recognised as a non-profit organisation, Arc-en-Ciel’s objective is to offer children with illnesses moments of joy. The President of the association, Monique Nesme, chose Disneyland Paris as the place to celebrate 25 years of Arc-en-Ciel: “Disneyland Paris is a magical world and has always welcomed children, their parents and Arc-en-Ciel volunteers warmly and with great attention. So there was no question when it came to asking them to organise our 25th anniversary and provide a programme full of surprises for two hundred children and their families.”
Greeted in the morning by many Disney VoluntEARS (volunteers of Disneyland Paris), children and families were able to indulge in fun workshops under the sign of good humor. During the day, new dreams were fulfilled that are added to the 139 already come true. Lina met her idol, Elsa, and Corentin became a Jedi confronting Dark Vador. After spending a day at the Parks in the company of Disney VoluntEARS, the children were able to celebrate at a gala evening organised at Disney’s Hotel New York. The sponsors of the association, including Sophie Marceau and Christophe Willem, were present and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. The programme included dinner, a show and fun workshops!
The next day, the sixteen stars of The Voice: the Most Beautiful Voice organised a one-off, private concert for this audience of both children and adults. They were all captivated. A musical moment concluding this unforgettable weekend on a high note!
