French charity, Secours Populaire, today launches its “Summer 2015 Vacation” campaign at Disneyland Paris. The day will also be the occasion for hundreds of children and adults to experience a magical day in the parks in the company of the Disney VoluntEARS. Some 7,000 children are expected to visit the destination over the summer.
Holidays have always been synonymous with getting away from everyday problems, having an unforgettable time and bonding with our family and friends. That’s why French charity Secours Populaire organises many initiatives throughout the year offering people who live alone, people with disabilities, families, senior citizens, young people and children the opportunity to go a few days. And they’ve been doing it for 70 years as Secours Populaire Français has in fact been helpingthose in need since 1945.
Disneyland Paris has worked with the association since 1993. That year Secours Populaire Français and its European partners were chosen to bring 6,500 children to Disneyland Park on the occasion of Mickey Mouse’s sixty-fifth birthday celebrations. Last summer, more than 5,000 children were given the chance to visit the destination.
And summer 2015 is no exception. More than 700 children and families will be present today at Disneyland Paris for the launch of the “Summer 2015 Vacation” campaign, enjoying a magical day among the attractions and the activities of the Disney universe. For these children and families, this day will be a true moment of happiness, far from the cares of their everyday life. This year the association will be focusing in particular on children with disabilities.
The children and families will be accompanied by 60 Disney VoluntEARS and the Secours Populaire Français volunteers, in a day that will end with the grand finale of the Disney Dreams show!
