Disneyland® Paris has just inaugurated the attraction Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, a new restaurant and a new boutique. But what does 2015 hold for its guests and Cast Members? Let us take a peek into a year during which the quality of the experience will be reinforced at all levels.
“I have always prioritized the quality of the experience, not only for the guest, but for our thousands of Cast Members as well. This focus has helped deliver the type of immersive experiences that Disney is renowned for. We create those experiences in an environment where excellence, creativity, innovation, and teamwork are valued across the organization. Bringing the Disney magic to our guests is the cornerstone of our strategy, and it will also be what drives our success at Disneyland Paris.” These are the words Tom Wolber, the President of Euro Disney S.C.A. used to welcome the shareholders of the group during their most recent General Meeting. This is also the tone for the year to come.
More shows and more cherished moments
Disneyland Paris is going to reinforce the experience guests will have in the parks and hotels of the destination, starting with the much awaited return of Swing into Spring, launched in 2014, as of the month of March. This seasonal celebration of spring will be reinforced by new musical shows, a greater number of floral decorations designed by the Entertainment and Horticulture teams, and a great number of Disney characters dressed up in their most beautiful spring costumes, especially made by the Sewing Workshop at Disneyland Paris.
“Live shows” will cover more than that. Following the success of both the Halloween and the Christmas seasons, Disneyland Paris will inaugurate a fourth “season” as we near the summer this year. Indeed, from 1 June to 13 September, fans of Frozen will discover a new musical production inspired from the Oscar-winning movie, not to mention other animations and a few surprises. This will be the very first time Disneyland Paris celebrates summer, and has the experience in its Parks evolve all along the year to surprise children and adults alike.
Last but not least, Disney Halloween Festival and Disney’s Enchanted Christmas will be back at the end of the year with still more improvements, after new investments are carried out and the guest comments, taken into account regularly, are acted upon by our creative teams.
A new approach to Guest comfort
Since one of the priorities is the quality of the guest experience, Disneyland Paris will continue its ambitious refurbishment plan throughout the destination.
Disney’s Newport Bay Club, of which nearly 500 rooms have been completely renovated as well as its external façades, the pool and its restaurants, will undergo a second refurbishment phase. 500 additional rooms will be modernised before the end of the year together with the lobby, while a new “Executive lounge” will be created. Since 2010 and with the renovation of Ranch Davy Crockett, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge and Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, over half of the hotel rooms at Disneyland Paris are new!
The company will increase its investments in the Disney Parks, to refresh its iconic attractions. Space Mountain (which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year) and Les Mystères du Nautilus were already renovated at the beginning of the year. They will reopen for the summer season after general refreshment. The parks’ decors will be repainted and redone with sustainable materials, as well as various pedestrian areas in the destination. Accessibility will be reviewed and constantly improved.
Consequently, guests will discover a whole new range of unique and renewed experiences when they visit DisneylandParis in 2015. But the company will also pursue major development projects, whether on the territory of Val d’Europe, by continuing to build or welcoming new office buildings, hotels and housing projects. Or else the Villages Nature project, for which the year 2015 represents the last straight line before opening scheduled for next year.
